Spirits of the alcoholic variety are on my mind today because everywhere I look I’m reminded it’s St. Patrick’s Day. The green beer is flowing freely even in places that don’t have any Irish claim to fame.

I’m not necessarily a fan of green beer, though. I know it doesn’t really taste any different, but I have a hard time with the color thing. In my mind green equals mold, so…there you go. Trying to swig green beer makes me gag because I automatically associate it with being stale and nasty.

But I do like a good lager, ale, stout, or cider, depending on my mood. One of my all-time favorites, which is perfectly acceptable for St. Patrick’s Day drinking fare, is Murphy’s Irish Stout. However, I indulged in some new-to-me “flavors” today, because once I spied them, I couldn’t pass them up.

Now these are spirits I can sink my teeth into!

Is that not too cool? Spirits with a supernatural twist!

"Are those flying saucers spinning 'round my head or did I drink to much?"
Howl: Release your inner werewolf.

This next one was the one that originally caught my eye. Because of my other obsession (zombies), I knew I had to try it. (Bad for my Alien Invasion Zombie Apocalypse diet plan, but fun for my taste buds and sense of silliness.)

This crazy skull logo instantly drew my attention.

I knew I HAD to have it once I read this part of the description "Like a zombie that just won't die..."

What supernatural “spirits” lurk on the shelves of your local grocery store?

Did you all write about touring the magic hat brewery? Is that why it jogged a bell when I saw that logo? I knew I’d heard of them from somewhere…
