Haunt Jaunts is super excited to announce we’re adding some fresh blood around here with a new writer, Ms. Emma Curtis. Emma approached me with the idea of writing for HJ after finding us because of our shared interest, i.e. Halloween, the paranormal, and spooky stuff in general.
Emma runs Emma Rae’s Halloween Site, a blog about Halloween, costumes, and parties. It’s a pretty neat site. She includes some awesome images with her articles. Perusing her front page, here’s the posts that immediately caught my eye:
- Halloween in France (another thing we have in common, apparently, is an interest in all things French!)
- Top 10 Halloween Movies (I do love my horror movies. Emma and I share some of the same Top 10 picks even!)
- Dressing Man’s Best Friend (anyone who considers the pets part in Halloween is an instant winner in my book.)
You know how I mentioned her keen eye for including appealing images in her posts? I was stoked to find out I can also stalk her –er, I mean follow her– on Pinterest.
Anyway, Emma will be contributing one article per month. We’re really excited about this new partnership and are thrilled to have her.We look forward to seeing what she cooks up for us!
Welcome to HJ, Emma!
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
