I decided to even get my blog in the Halloween spirit by going with a new season-appropriate theme. It was a tough choice, let me tell you. There are a lot of nice designs out there!
But ultimately I went with this one because I liked the feel best.
I hope you’ll like it too.
And I’m really hoping you’ll like the articles I’m working on for this week. That’s why I was quiet today. I had to get my house in order. (Literally. I’ve been neglecting housework and I just couldn’t stand it anymore!)
Plus, I find that when I take the time to organize my surroundings my thoughts follow suit. I’ve got a lot to write about and it was all spinning around in my head making me dizzy. As I dusted, swept, mopped and straightened, I put together a game plan for knocking out all the ideas without knocking myself out in the process. (My mind works faster than my fingers can type. Very frustrating when I come across a ton of good info like I did over the weekend. I can’t keep up!)
But lists have been made, game plans drawn…I think I’ll be able to deliver quantity without sacrificing quality.
I’m heading to bed now. I’m exhausted from all the cleaning, plotting, and planning.
Plus, tomorrow’s a big day. I’ll find out the results of my CT scan. (I hit the 3 month in remission mark so it was check up time. Technically it’s been 4 months since my last one, when I found out I was in remission. I’m hoping there have been no changes and I’ll get word I’m still all clear! Another reason for the cleaning madness. Helped work out my anxiety!)

I truly believe you’ll get a fantastic bill of health and this is just one of those annoying technicalities. After my cervical cancer, I had to go in every 3 months for a time and then every 6 months for 5 years! After a while, I could feel I’d be okay and I just thought of it as an annoying task and even forgot when they called back the results that I was waiting for the tests to be done. I love the look of the site–it’s very you. Blue is the color of caretakers and compassionate people and the lighter color is cheerful and yet very calming at the same time. Then, there’s wickedly cool scene at the top–I want to go there. Reminds me of the Johnny Depp Sleepy Hollow movie (the movie stunk, but the scenery was soooo wonderful–just wanted to be there). Get some good rest for all your hard work. 🙂

Hi Julie and Autumnforest! Thanks so much for your wonderful comments! I am delighted to report I DID in fact get a clean bill of health as Autumnforest predicted! WOOOHOOO!! And I’m in that 3 month phase that you spoke of with my medical oncologist, Autumnforest. The radiation oncologist bumped me up to 6 months visits now.
And what a SUPER nice comment you left about the site and the colors and how they go with me. I know I’ve said this before, but I REALLY like the view of me through your eyes! Thanks for sharing it like you did!
And you know…until you made the Sleepy Hollow connection, I could not figure out why the scene at top appealed to me like it did, but that’s it on the head! The Sleepy Hollow movie! GREAT scenery and atmosphere. Yep, this is what that reminded me of. Thanks for helping me pinpoint that! =)
