Ever since we moved away from Phoenix, my supermarket of choice has been Publix. (For day to day things. I also like Fresh Market and Harris Teeters, but I tend to shop those when I need special foods.)
Last night I had a bit of a sweet tooth going on. I had to run to Publix to pick up some dinner fixings I’d forgotten. While there, I jaunted over to their bakery section to see if they might have anything to satisfy my sweet tooth. (Knowing full well they would. The real question would be choosing which of their goodies to indulge in.)
I ended up finding some Halloween-themed yummies. Cookies, cakes and even brownie bites all decorated for the season. Yep, as I suspected, there would be some deciding to do. (It didn’t prove all that difficult, though. Once I spied the Haunted House cake, my heart was set on it.)
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
