Haunt Jaunts on Dwellable

Earlier this week Jane from Dwellable contacted me about being a featured blogger on their site after researching haunted Cape May and finding a Haunt Jaunts post about it. Curious, I checked it out and immediately liked what I saw.

I added the “Dwellback” button, then wrote Jane to ask how I could get more of my posts featured. (In her original email she mentioned they’d love to feature more if I was so inclined.) Before I knew it, Jane, speedier than Speedy Gonzalez, replied back with a list of other posts and Dwellback links for me to add to them.

The result? Now Haunt Jaunts has a featured profile page on Dwellable. Very cool.

And what exactly is Dwellable you might be asking? (I was. I hadn’t heard of it before Jane contacted me. Now I’ve got it bookmarked in my Travel folder.)

As per their About page: “Dwellable is the world’s foremost online vacation rental search engine.”

It’s pretty cool. You type in where you want to go, Dwellable returns results of vacation rentals for that destination with a map pinpointing where they all are. (Currently it’s only for rentals in the U.S.) There’s also a list of blog posts following the vacation rental listings that give you more info about the area.

And how do the posts get listed on Dwellable destination pages? Same way as mine did: courtesy of Dwellback buttons that bloggers installed on their posts. Super neat concept! (And I’m not just saying that because HJ now has some posts listed on Dwellable. If I’d found out about Dwellable before I was contacted about it, you can bet I’d be inquiring how to get my posts listed.)

I will definitely be using Dwellable to research vacation rentals next time we’re in the market for one. (I haven’t been paid or compensated to write this either. Again, even if my blog posts weren’t listed under certain destinations I’d still think this is a really groovy concept.) I highly recommend you check it out next time you’re vacation rental shopping too.
