Have you visited our Haunt Jaunts Halloween Scareporium lately? We sort of revamped it for Halloween 2015.
Here’s some of what you’ll find:
Updated Costumes
After a slight site meltdown where 70% of our links went blank, we spent most of September refurbishing the Men’s Costumes, Women’s Costumes, and Couple’s Costumes. (In addition to the Halloween Props & Decorations and Halloween Party Supplies sections.)
What will you find now? Our favorite costumes from our affiliates in a variety of styles. Such as:
- Scary Men’s & Scary Women’s Costumes
- Funny Men’s Costumes
- Sexy Women’s Costumes
- Even Easy Men’s and Women’s costumes
Just to name a few…
You’ll also find some howl-arious Dog and Cat costumes. (Well, I’m sure no cats will howl with laughter about any of their selection. But us people? Especially animal loving ones? Pure entertainment! For instance, can you tell me this Freddy Krueger Pet Costume or this Star Wars Pet Fans Collection Princess Leia Slave Cat Costume doesn’t amuse you?)
Giveaways
We’re trying something new for Halloween 2015: hosting giveaways over at the Emproium. Especially for merchandise we’ve purchased via our affiliates.
Be sure to pop on over to enter for a chance to win a Flux Capacitor USB Car Charger.
Then be sure to keep an eye out for more contests. We have a couple more (at least) we plan to host this year.
New Posts
In addition to writing about haunted places here, we write about Halloween, especially its merchandise, over there. (Yeah, yeah, we know. When we write about haunted places. Hasn’t been a lot of that happening lately over here. There are tons of posts started in the Drafts section. It’s finding the time to complete them that’s been elusive.)
Anyway, a couple of our favorites over there so far this year are:
- Boos in the Loo: Halloween Bathroom Decor
- Halloween Prank Products – Trick or Treat?
Email Notifications
Something we had here that we didn’t have there was an easy way for any readers who were interested about new posts to be notified of them.
We remedied that and added a signup in the sidebar. Look for the “Never Miss a Post” heading.
Faves
We love everything we feature in the various sections of our Scareporium, but some we love more than others. We decided to create a Faves section this year to showcase our absolute favorites.
These are things either we bought we liked them so well, or are on our Wish List to be purchased. Or, in some cases where they’re just too expensive, they’re on our Dream Wish List.
The few things we’re absolutely head over heels about for Halloween 2015 are:
- Digital Dudz Shirts (Especially the Digital Dudz Safety Pinned T-Shirt and Digital Dudz Creepy Doll Face Shirt)
- AtmosFEAR FX Digital Decor (We’ve been playing the AtmosFEARfx Bone Chillers DVD on our window and its been a HUGE hit in the neighborhood this Halloween season!)
- The Scary Tapping Peeper
- Shadow Coasters
Christmas
Finally, because there is the “(and more!)” in our tagline both here and over there, we decided to add a Christmas section to the Scareporium this year.
Our affiliates stock some fun things that make us chuckle, and we like nothing better than a good laugh so…we decided, “Why not have a place to display those things too?”
Our favorites are very off-color humor. Some may say they’re just plain wrong. In our book, that’s what makes them so appealing.
For instance, try not to crack a smile at this Pole Dancing Elves Ugly Christmas Sweater or Reindeer Clean Up Scene Airblown Inflatable.
So go ahead. Check out our Scareporium and let us know what you think.
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
