I learned about a new show that’ll debut tomorrow thanks to a post on Screamstress: Fear Clinic.
Robert Englund’s not only in it but is directing (yep, that Robert Englund, as in Nightmare on Elm Street’s infamous Freddy Krueger). But he’s also rounded up a couple of other horror movie hot shots, Kane Hodder (Jason from the Friday the 13th series) and Danielle Harris (from the Halloween franchise). Alison at Screamstress summed up the premise best I think:
Patients of the Fear Clinic go there to be cured of their most dreaded phobias by undergoing a revolutionary treatment. With a cast like this it has to be good.
We’ll soon find out…
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Yeah, there haven’t been a lot of good movies dealing with this. They usually end up being cheesy. I’d love to get something more “vertigo” like. Oh, and I looked at the drinks you told me about–the brain hemorrhage looks yummy!
That one sounded gross but did look yummy didn’t it? And I’m not much of a martini girl, but the maggot martinis made me laugh!
