Ran across an interesting post on Week in Weird: Are You Being Haunted by a Family Member? A New Television Series Wants to Hear Your Story
Apparently former Ghost Hunters Amy Bruni and Adam Berry are going to be back on TV. They’re going to be executive producers of a new show where they investigate cases of people who believe loved ones are haunting them.
The show doesn’t have a title yet, but they’re already lining up potential “clients” according to Amy Bruni’s Facebook page:
If you are in the New England area and feel you are being haunted by a family member, we are looking for folks like you for a new paranormal reality TV show being produced in the area. We’d love to help you and your loved ones find resolution.
Filming starts VERY soon. If interested, message me with as many details about your situation as possible. (Or questions, of course!)
If you’re not on Facebook, you can also email Amy at amy@amy-bruni.net.
Relatives Among Most Common of Ghosts
According to Ghosts and Ghouls, relatives rate as one of the eight most common types of ghosts.
The Relative
Many stories of the paranormal involve a relative who appears to a loved one to offer comfort, deliver a message, protect a family member, or just hang out. Familial hauntings are extremely common in ghostly tales, and chances are good you or someone you know is certain a relative has paid a visit from beyond the grave.
When Are Dead Relatives Troublesome?
Death is hard. Losing a beloved family member can be devastating.
Those who want to offer comfort to help you move on, or who offer help in times of danger or fear can be welcome.
But if they’re constantly around and interfering with you getting closure or moving ahead with your life? That’s no bueno.
Even worse is if they’re scaring you.
And if that’s the case, maybe Amy Bruni and Adam Berry’s assistance could help?
Has a Deceased Relative Ever Paid You a Visit?
Was it a good or bad experience? Did it bring you peace and comfort, or fear and terror?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
It would be so nice if you can come up with something where I can take part. We have lots of creepy stories also. For example a ‘decarnate’ spirit coming out to feed on the anger of drivers on a particular highway and causing accidents resulting in death. Chickens wearing glasses, donkeys wearing slippers and scaring those out at nights, dogs fighting with sticks, and more.
Say what??? Soter, I am going to have to either have you write a guest post or do some research because that all sounds cuckoo crazy…which is exactly perfect for HJ!!!!
