Giveaway time is here again and the next treat up for grabs in the fiberdoodles-inspired Halloween Blog Party Giveaway is the $10 BP Gas Card!
Admittedly it’s not much. It might only be enough to buy as much gas for a fill-up as what’s indicated on the gauge at left. (Especially if gas prices keep rising!)
But $10 in free gas never hurts, does it? Another way to look at it is this: it’ll help fund any Haunt Jaunts you want to make, be it to a haunted house, a scary movie, a ghost tour, et cetera…
HOW TO ENTER
In a comment below, either copy & paste or specify via its respective number whichever ONE of the following quotes most appeals to you:
- Kilometers are shorter than miles. Save gas, take your next trip in kilometers. ~George Carlin~
- It’s better to have beer in hand than gas in tank. ~Author Unknown~
- A pedestrian is someone who thought there were a couple of gallons left in the tank. ~Author Unknown~
- Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead. ~Mac McCleary~
- I can’t decide. I like them all!

Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.

I did have to laugh at #3 when I finally got it!
Bonus entry – I could tell you a lot of memorable road trips but I will share this one. I agreed to go on this blind date with this man my friend recommended. She promised if it didn’t work out she would come and pick me up. The date was to a Dallas Cowboys game (Arkansas to Texas with a stranger – yikes). He picked me up, I went and we talked the whole way there. After the game was over and we were pulling out of the stadium the car ran out of gas (we talked so much he forgot to stop and get gas). There we were in a very deserted downtown with no one around. Finally a car pulled up with two older couples in the car and they gave him a lift to the gas station. One of the men was a surgeon that aided JFK when he was shot in Dallas. Needless to say, we got gas, I got home and 13 years later we have been happily married. I would like to win THIS prize so I can give it to him as a reminder 😉

5.I can’t decide. I like them all
I’ve had a few memorable road trips, but since it has to be a ROAD trip, I’ll pick our trip to Jerome this past March with Auntie Barb, Aunt Joy, Cody, Shawn, Trevor, mom and dad… It was freezing, so I had to give my favorite eeyore jacket to Auntie Barb and go to the gift store and buy a Jerome sweatshirt – now we all know how much I hate to shop – just about killed me!

My favorite road trip is all the road trips I’ve done with my family.
I follow Haunt Jaunts on Facebook and Twitter.
Oh, I do love quotes. It seems others picked it too but it’s great:
