Tune-In to TLC for “Kindred Spirits” Return and New Series “Evil Things”

I love when I get press releases. Here’s the one I received in regards to two TLC shows, the returning Kindred Spirits and the all new Evil Things:

Amy Bruni and Adam Berry.

Friday night frights return to TLC in time for Halloween with the second season of KINDRED SPIRITS, following renowned ghost hunters Amy Bruni and Adam Berry as they help real people tormented by paranormal activity in their homes. Scared by the mysterious happenings, but hesitant to pick up and leave, they have turned to two of America’s leading paranormal investigators to capture evidence, help families overcome their fear, take back their homes, and reclaim their lives.

Then, TLC premieres the paranormal newcomer EVIL THINGS, where it’s not haunted houses but the objects inside them that are the terrifying focus of this new series.

KINDRED SPIRITS premieres on Friday, September 15 at 9/8c immediately followed by EVIL THINGS at 10/9c.

In the season premiere of KINDRED SPIRITS, Amy and Adam investigate one of the most infamous haunted homes in America: the Lizzie Borden House in Fall River, Mass. What was once a private residence-turned-murder scene is now a museum and B&B, where many paranormal teams have confirmed that the ghosts of the home’s original occupants still linger.

Amy and Adam launch into one of their most harrowing investigations yet, but not to find the Borden family ghosts. Their unique goal is to help Sue, a tour guide, who believes her grandparents’ spirits are in the house trying to protect her from impending tragedy.

Amy and Adam, aided by psychic Chip Coffey, ultimately call upon the ghosts of the Bordens to help them uncover the truth. Do they get more than they bargained for?

Each episode of EVIL THINGS features two stories of people who claim they’ve survived frightening paranormal activity caused by a haunted object ranging from toys to jewelry and even furniture. Anything can become a vessel for the dead. Based on compelling first-person accounts, each twisted mystery exposes the sinister secrets hiding within seemingly innocent items… some of which could be sitting in your own home right now.

The premiere of EVIL THINGS recounts two stories. First, Lindsay’s backpacking trip through Europe takes a tragic turn after meeting a new friend, Alex, at a local bar. She wakes up days later in the hospital only to learn that Alex has died and she’s undergone an emergency cornea transplant.

Back in America and on the mend, Lindsay is haunted by horrific visions of murder. Is it a side effect of her recovery, or is something darker happening with her new eye?

James finds mysterious VHS tapes behind a hidden wall in his attic.

Then, in the second story, James discovers boxes of mysterious videotapes stashed behind a false wall in his attic. He becomes obsessed with the disturbing footage but hides it from his wife, Tori.

That is, until dangerous paranormal forces suddenly take hold of their home.

  1. “Evil Things” reminds me vaguely of “Deadly Possessions” (wasn’t that rebranded as “Ghost Adventures: Artifacts”?) or “Haunted Collector”.

I’m very much looking forward to more Adam & Amy.

Thank you for the update, Courtney!

Hi Bast! I’m glad I had an update thanks to getting the press release! lol

And my first thought about Evil Things was that it sounded like a Haunted Collector, except focusing more on the haunted objects and the chaos they caused rather than investigating them? Curious to see what people think. THANKS for the comment!
