Skellie and I are heading to Lexington, Kentucky for the ScareFest, September 28, 2017 – October 1, 2017.
I decided it might be a fun way to get some publicity for the site and the radio show.
So I got us a booth (Booth 112 if you happen be going), Skellie’s packing some of his props and we’re going to set up a Skelfie Station.
Here’s some of the props he’s packed in his bag:
We’re also going to be selling some merchandise. T-shirts, LED hats, notebooks, pens, and witch’s potion (a.k.a. mini tubs of slime).
We’ll also be giving out a Free Fortune Fish with any purchase!
They’re really cool. You take the fish out of the pouch, hold it in your hand, and, depending on how it curls up, it tells your “fortune.” (Really more like mood, but hey. Close enough!)
I mean, really. Have you ever had your palm read by a fish before?
We’ll also have some copies of Shadow People and Cursed Objects: 13 Tales of Terror Based on True Stories…or are they?
So if you’re in Lexington, stop by, say hi, take a Skelfie. Skellie and I would love to meet you!
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
