Have you ever traveled around the United States and noticed oddities of huge proportions?  Perhaps you have been on a road trip where these sort of quirky structures were your main focus or destinations?

Get ready for a new Travel Channel show where you will discover the best of the best ‘giant’ roadside attractions in the country.   Actor and comedian Tom Green begins his journey to uncover the story behind every massive structure in the nation in “Giant America,” a new half-hour special premiering on Travel Channel on Monday, January 15 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT.

Travel along as Green heads to the state that defined “bigger is better” – Texas.   He will take you along on a behind-the-scenes look at the Texas State Fair to see how ‘Big Tex’ comes to life, answers the age-old question of how the 10-gallon hat got its name while he attempts to set a record eating an 85-ounce steak.

“I’ve traveled the country performing at comedy venues for over 10 years, and I’ve seen lots of amazing places and objects along the way,” said Green. “Some things are so massive that it forcesme to ask those questions: ‘What is that?’ ‘What’s it doing here?’ ‘And why is it so big?’ And I’m finally getting to the bottom of it all!”

Travel Channel fans can only expect that “Giant America” will be a ‘really BIG show!’
