Some people may have different ways of filling in after the “….” How about you?
Here’s what I say: It’s never been as good as the 1969 and 1972 episodes. Maybe the 1976 too.
Scrappy Doo was okay, but it started going downhill from there.
Where is all this coming from?
A post I saw on Facebook and shared to Haunt Jaunts’ Facebook page about the Evolution of Scooby-Doo.
If you’re a Scooby Doo fan who can remember watching the Saturday morning cartoons back in the 70s, well…welcome to my club.
If your Scooby introduction was in the 1980s or after, then you might have a different take. Maybe you fell in love with your era’s version of Scoob and Shag and the rest of the gang.
Or maybe you love them all, no matter the incarnation.
Just a quick little trip down memory lane.
But one thing that was curious to me: some of the Scooby Doo seasons cut out the rest of the gang. I know Scoob is the main dude, and of course there’s his sidekick Shag, but can you really have Scooby without the rest of the gang?
I vote no. They’re a package deal.
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
