#TriviaTuesday: Disney’s “Snow White” and Friday the 13th

I have the best intentions, I really do. I keep slipping on posting the Trivia Tuesday teasers and answers.

The last #TriviaTuesday post included a tease about the Snow White trivia I’d share during the April 3rd show. If you listened, then you’re in the know. But if you didn’t, and you’ve been waiting for a post, well…here it is.

As well as trivia for last week’s show and the tease for this week’s show.

So without further ado, let’s get caught back up, shall we?

Snow White Trivia from the April 3, 2018 Show

Jay Hartlove and Willo Hausman were my guests on April 3rd.

Jay wrote a musical in the vein of Wicked called, “The Mirror’s Revenge.” Willo will be directing it.

“The Mirror’s Revenge” is a sequel to the Grimm Brothers’ folktale “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.”

Here’s the trivia I shared on their show, to keep in the spirit of their theme. I found it on a BuzzFeed article of 20 Fascinating Facts About “Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs.”

19-year-old Adriana Caselotti voiced Snow White. Walt wanted to keep Snow White’s voice special, so he held Adriana to a very strict contract and she was never allowed to perform on stage or film again.

But, she did sneak in another – uncredited – voice over in “The Wizard Of Oz”, in the scene where the Tin Man sings “If I only Had A Heart”, she is the voice that says “Wherefore art thou, Romeo?”

Friday the 13th Trivia from the April 10, 2018 Show

Since Friday the 13th was coming, and I’m nuts about special days, I felt it was fitting to share something seasonal I snagged from this People article: 9 Pieces of Friday the 13th Trivia to Help You Through this Accursed Day.

The Thirteen Club, and its stated mission, was to improve the standing of the holiday and also flout all manner of superstitions. At its first meeting, all 13 members walked under ladders into a room filled with spilled salt. The group’s ranks swelled to 400 eventually, taking in five U.S. Presidents: Chester Arthur, Grover Cleveland, Benjamin Harrison, William McKinley and Theodore Roosevelt.

Trivia Teaser for April 17, 2018 Show

I’m not done with Friday the 13th trivia.

During my research for 13 Ways To Spend Friday April 13, 2018, I stumbled across a place with a very peculiar Friday the 13th celebration.

Hint #1: It’s not in the U.S.

Hint #2: The language in the above image is a further clue…

If you want to know more, listen to the show this week.

My guest will be Jessica Penot. 8 p.m. Eastern on ParaMania Radio.
