I’m always curious what kind of info the Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco newsletter will contain. (Like us, they don’t send them often. Usually around Friday the 13th or having something to do with one.)
I know when one hits my inbox, something good will be inside, though.
I just received their most recent one, but before I continue, let me pause here…
Background
For those who don’t know, Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco is the real-life Boy Scout camp where the original Friday the 13th movie was filmed.
Sometimes it conducts filming location tours, usually on Friday the 13th and it’s accompanying weekend. Any money generated goes to camp restoration and repairs.
However, as you might imagine, the tours are insanely popular and are ALWAYS a sell out. Getting tickets is hard and requires luck because a lottery is involved.
Okay, we can resume the post now…
Their Friday April 13, 2018 Tour
Camp No-Be-B-Sco’s newsletter was about what a great Friday the 13th weekend they recently had.
Actress Adrienne King (“Alice” in Friday the 13th‘s 1 and 2), was the special guest. (How cool is that? Love when actors are so participatory like this.)
But they also had some new merch for sale.
Hoodies, Hats & Shirts
They had Crystal Lake Tour clothing for sale, including new hats, shirts, and hoodies. (Apparently it was a cold Friday the 13th event so the hoodies sold pretty well.)
But they didn’t sell them all, so right now you can also snag them for 20% off using the coupon code “aftertour18” on all orders over $25. (Excludes the mega combo of souvenirs.)
Cookies Anyone?
They also had some leftover cookies that were made special for the tour.
Buy $50 worth of merch (before shipping) and they’ll toss in a free set of three.
(They’ll take care to see they don’t break during shipping, of course. But no guarantees…)
Bid on an Exclusive “Jason” Souvenir
This was probably my favorite part of their newsletter:
One of our tour guides had to cancel at the last moment and his name was… Jason. No, this isn’t a joke. 🙂
Another tour guide saw the unclaimed name tag and was smart enough to have Adrienne sign the back. We know how our fans love unique stuff like this. Bidding starts at $1. As always, every dollar from this auction will go directly towards our restoration projects at camp. Thanks for your generosity!

Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
