I was really hoping the last time I changed my blog’s “skin” would be it. It wasn’t exactly perfect, but it suited my purposes well enough. Or so I thought…
COMMENTS
It all started shortly before I left for vacation. Julie from Above the Norm alerted me to the fact she was having trouble leaving comments. I had heard something similar back during the Halloween Blog Giveaway from a few people also.
I tried to figure out what was up, but I couldn’t. I figured maybe the Internet was being finicky or something. Then I got busy and sort of forgot about it.
Then I returned from vacation. I tried to respond to comments left in my absence and to leave some on Susan’s guest blogs, but I couldn’t. It was frustrating enough to not be able to leave comments on my own blog, but when I thought of comments I may have missed from readers? I knew I had to figure out the problem.
REMEDIES
I’m not sure it was entirely the “skin’s” fault, because I’d had a different one for the blog contest and I’d had trouble then too. But the more I fiddled to try and fix my other skin, the more aggravated I got and realized certain other things (mainly some widgets) weren’t working either.
After spending the last 2 days testing various other skins, I finally settled on this one.
NO GUARANTEES
I can’t guarantee this will be the last switch. (I’m hoping! I could really spend my time doing other things.)
But I am hoping the comment problem will be resolved.
However, if it’s not and you encounter any troubles, please shoot me an email to let me know will you?
Thanks!

Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Seems good. I think all I’d do is make the lettering larger. 🙂
Oh great. Now I see what’s wrong with this one! (I didn’t notice before how small the font was. I tried to fix it before posting the Lessons Learned one, but that’s the one flaw with WP’s editor that Blogger does better…let’s you pick font size.) Dagnabit! Now I have to stay on the lookout for something new…too tired today. I’ve had enough of trying to make it perfect. (You might understand this if I just say, “It’s a Virgo thing!” 😉
Hi! Yeah the font’s a bit small, but hey the functions work. Posting on your blog is a highlight for me, so I’m sticking with it! Thanks so much, Court – and everyone who reads and contributes.
Thanks Susan! At least I haven’t jinxed anything to make posting for you hard. Oh man, that would suck. I enjoy your posts! (And it seems from the comments so do others.) I did fall behind on reading them though due to vacation, but maybe next week I’ll get caught up! Thank YOU for stopping by like you do and making the great posts you do!!!
