If you happen to visit the South of England soon, then you should make sure you pay a visit to Bel & the Dragon in Odiham, Hampshire.
The Hotel is a Grade 2 listed building and a former inn, with features dating back to 1540 and situated in the beautiful historic village of Odiham. You could, if you are lucky, encounter a spirit that isn’t served behind the bar.
15 bedrooms, each unique in their own way, and Andrew and his staff will give you a warm and friendly welcome as soon as you step inside.
There is one room I really want to talk about however, and that is the Jasmine room. Andrew, the General Manager, kindly gave me the keys to the room so I could conduct a paranormal investigation in there.
For many years I had heard stories of it being haunted, and after getting the keys and staying there, I can happily say it is somewhere you should experience if you like to go on your haunt jaunts (of course you do, otherwise you wouldn’t be on this site reading this).
Armed with Paranormal equipment, it was an interesting couple of hours. Each question I asked was answered and soon we had the story of who was in there and why.
I haven’t checked any other rooms in the hotel out, but there are stories which involve pools of water on the cellar floor. The beams down there, came from a ship so maybe, just maybe there is a paranormal answer down there too.
