Boo-k It! – Be Your Own Paranormal Travel Agent (if you dare…)

Looking for something spooky to do? Then you’ll want to check out the new Boo-k It! section.

I’ve had a lot of fun combing through the tours and activities offered by our affiliates, Viator and TrustedTours.com, to create this new section.

It all started when I was looking at Viator to see what kind of tours and activities I could buy ahead when we jaunted to various places like Singapore, London, Glasgow Edinburgh, and more.

Because as stated on the Our Affiliates page, I pursued affiliations with various companies because I have, or would, use their services and products myself. And I really do.

What I found besides just ghost tours was that there are so many ghost tours and other paranormal-ish activities to do all over the world.

I thought, “Wouldn’t it be cool to put as many of those as I could all in one place?”

So that’s what I set out to do. Because obviously I have the place to do it!

It’s been an ambitious project, and it’s not totally complete yet (because I’m working on adding a Boo-k a Spooky Stay section for haunted hotels), but for now I have the Boo-k a Ghost Tour or Paranormal Activity section up. (Pretty much. I keep finding more tours and activities and will add them as I do.)

They’re listed by:

  • State
  • Outside the U.S.
  • Type of tour or activity.

The types of tours and activities were the most fun to add, because they were the most fun to think about how to categorize.

I decided not to list just ghost tours. They all do have a dark slant to them pretty much, though.

Except for maybe the Scavenger Hunts. Those just sounded like a blast. (And surprisingly they’re in a ton of cities! I plan to do the one in Nashville soon. I’ll report back when I do. If you’ve done one, let me know. I’d love to hear what you thought.)

But there are Horror tours, Mystery & True Crime, Serial Killer tours, and TV & Movie Locations…just to name a few.

As far as activities, there are Dinners, Escape Rooms, and Paranormal Investigations in addition to the Scavenger Hunts.

Expect to be reading more about this new section because I’ve learned about some really neat tours and it has really fired up my muse with some post ideas.

But go take a look and see if your state is listed and what kind of tours and activities there are. Did you know about them?

I didn’t know about two of the three that I’ve got listed for Tennessee. (The  1.5-Hour Cemetery Ghost Hunt in Chattanooga and the Woodruff-Fontaine House Ghost Tour.)

And if you happen to book a tour from the new section, the Skeleton Crew and I thank you! We use commissions to pay for hosting fees, and if we’re lucky to have any leftover after the bills are paid, we treat ourselves to lunch out!
