That’s what we’d like to know.
Actually, we sort of do. There was a glitch with our WordPress theme.
No, we weren’t hacked. (Thankfully. At first we feared that’s what happened.)
Luckily (relatively speaking) it was that the theme developer hadn’t updated the theme for almost a year. It was no longer compatible with WordPress’s latest updates. So everything went wonky.
We set about trying to fix it by installing a new theme…which if you got 66 (literally) emails about posts from us that didn’t look like posts we’d normally write, this is why.
It had to do with a demo we’d installed. We didn’t know it was going to hijack our content like that.
Please accept our apologies for any concern, inconvenience, and flooding of your inbox this may have caused.
We’re working to try and get the site back up and running and looking decent again.
We’re actually having to rework the whole look. It’s never a good time for something like this to happen, but this was one of the more horrible ones.
Because of all the work ahead of us, we’ve had to postpone the drawing for the Smalls’ Sweetest Day Giveaway to October 30, 2018.
Which is still candy related. There’s a Candy Corn Day among the many weird holidays and observances that day. One of the candy prize options is Creepy Clown Candy Corn Teeth, so…we’ll make it work.
All entries received from all the ways you can enter, (the post, email, Facebook, and Instagram) are being kept safe in the Bone Bag.
Also, we’ll be taking a hiatus from Haunted Headlines posts and videos for the foreseeable future too.
We’d had some other hiccups that have made keeping up with those posts challenging anyway, and now with this debacle…well, we’ve got to scale back, regroup, and take it one step at a time to get back on track.
Again, apologies for the confusion.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Eternally yours,
The Haunt Jaunts Skeleton Crew
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
