I received an intriguing email from Ryan Martinez,  the Producer for The Witching Hour. It’s an upcoming paranormal TV show which will premiere on Fairfax Public
Access October 19th at 5 pm.

He started out by introducing the show’s concept:

“The investigators of Argos Paranormal goes where no other paranormal show has gone before as they will be investigating locations that the locals fear and no other paranormal show has ever dared to investigate. These investigators will be pushing themselves to their max limits as they investigate locations at around 3 am, also known as the witching hour, when paranormal activity is believed to be at an all-time high during the night.”

He then went on to share a little bit more detail about what viewers can expect from The Witching Hour:

What separates this show from the other paranormal shows currently on air is that the investigators of Argos Paranormal, who are all residents of Northern Virginia, have a collective background in media and journalism with the knowledge and experience in the occult and paranormal. With all of this experience, it enables the investigators to analyze evidence from a perspective of proof and logic.

Furthermore, this show is also focused on investigating the connection between a location’s history and their rumored paranormal activity.

For example, our first episode, which takes place at Belle Grove Plantation in Port Conway, investigates whether the home’s long-gestating history and involvement in the Civil War has prevented the spirits of those who once considered the place home from moving on.

Another interesting fact about Belle Grove Plantation is that we are the second paranormal show ever to have filmed and investigated there, the first show being SYFY’s Ghost Hunters.

“But I don’t live in Fairfax. Why do I care?”

Fair question.
