Okay the title may be misleading because I believe your window of opportunity is very limited for entering to win a free investigation at the Haunted Haldeman Mansion. Like, if you don’t read this post the same day, you may not be able to still enter.
However, you still can do some good.
What on earth am I rambling on about?
I have once again neglected my emails. One came in a few days ago from Lora Shirey, the Paranormal Director at the historic Haldeman Mansion. Here’s what it said:
Hello from the Haldeman Mansion Preservation Society. We thank you so much for your interest and support in the mansion and the paranormal history, BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW. In doing so, you can win a free investigation in return. As you know we do not receive any state or federal funding, so we depend on volunteers and fund-raising events to help restore the mansion. You can be part of our team by donating to save a piece of history.
Every year Lancaster, PA holds an Extra Give which is a campaign to help nonprofit organizations raise money. So, one day a year they hold The Extraordinary Give which allows people to donate a tax-free donation to the organization of their choice. By doing so your donation can be chosen to have an additional $750 added.
You can donate to the Haldeman Mansion and help us raise money to restore the historic federal staircase and foyer. When you make your donation just send me an email and you will get entered to win a free investigation.

Anyway, I hope this reaches your eyeballs in time. If you’re interested in winning a free investigation, that is.
If not, perhaps the spirit of the season has already touched you and you’d like to donate. Because as Lora wrote in another email reminding people about today (which is actually the first one I saw –today– and decided to hurry up and write this post):
