When I wrote about the Nashville flood the other day I also included a few video clips. Most were from YouTube but one was mine I took of the flood waters at our neighborhood Publix supermarket.
I had to stop in there again yesterday to pick up a few things. It was hard to believe when I pulled in that all those waters were gone. Except for the pews under a tent in front of the church next door and all the clean up work going on there, there wasn’t any evidence it had flooded at all.
That’s when I decided to take out my camera and get some more video. I hope it helps put it in perspective.
At least for this one small area. This is the kind of scene that played out in location after location all around Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky.

Autumnforest, it’s funny you say that because the only other time Wayne and I have seen a river fill up as fast was when we lived in AZ. We used to walk in a wash all the time when we lived in Tucson. A HUGE one. When that thing suddenly filled up and turned into a raging river that overflowed it’s banks we could hardly believe it. This really reminded us of that. It was like getting a month worth of monsoons all at once continually for 2 days straight. Really bad news.
