Yesterday the Top 10 Blog included @HauntJaunts in its list of Top 10 Twitter People of the Day.
I didn’t know that, though, until @JaneCys sent me a congratulatory Tweet with a link to the post. I’d seen @TheTop10Blog’s Tweet mentioning me along with @BarryckR, @paperspaints, and @BloggingBlog, but there was no link so I figured it was just a random nice Tweet.
It was, but it came with some extras. Like being mentioned in a whole post on the Top 10 Blog’s blog!
And to make the flattery sweeter (and if you must know anything about me, I’m a sucker for flattery and have quite the sweet tooth), here’s how the Top 10 Blog prefaces their lists:
Welcome to another day of celebrating people who bring something to Twitter.
Each day we post a list of the Top 10 Twitterers that have caught the eye. They may be new to Twitter, they may have been around for ages. They may have 1 follower or 1 million.
The important thing is what they are contributing to the Twitter World be it fun, facts, inspiration or a link to an interesting blog.
Say what? Wow! What a neat way to be viewed.
Especially because the list was quite eclectic. There was no theme, like travel or the paranormal. I was in the company of a vast array of Tweeters Tweeting about all sorts of things from blogging and social media to greeting cards and food.
And they were from all around the world. From New York to India, Milan to right here in Tennessee. (No, not myself. Another Tweeter, Jason Bradford, also calls TN home.)
In addition to the few I mentioned above, the other Tweeters to make the list were:
- @stereomood
- @tinucherian
- @Greetums
- @jasonbradford
- @KisAndie
- @scatteredmom
Very glad Jane took the time to let me know like she did. Finding this out was even better than stumbling across HJ’s “Tweet Worth” the other day. (Which is an astounding $1,063!)
P.S.

Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Wahoo and Congrat’s–that’s my gal!
You are so awesome!!! Congratulations!
Congrats Courtney….you deserve it!
Thanks, ladies!
Aw shucks, Mommy D. The feeling’s mutual!
You know, Brenda, I do believe we’d feel the same about you too!
