Wow! Travel Channel has had some exciting announcements to share this week. First Robert Englund’s new series, and now a trio of Ghost Hunters alums are teaming back up for Ghost Nation (wt).
Kind of like with Robert Englund’s series, we don’t have a lot of specific details yet. We know it’ll be 4Q 2019, meaning basically Fall of this year sometime. Likely right in time for the Halloween season. But we don’t have an exact premier date.
And the title could change, but for now it’s under the moniker Ghost Nation.
Here’s what else was shared in the press release I received:
In “Ghost Nation”(wt), Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango, the trio formerly of “Ghost Hunters,” return to television by popular demand for all-new explorations of the other side. But now, a whole nation of paranormal investigators is at their fingertips. Each week on “Ghost Nation” (wt), the team will rally their troops and reconnoiter around the most intriguing cases that need the benefit of their expertise. Armed with state-of-the-art technology, Hawes, Gonsalves and Tango will attempt to uncover paranormal evidence like never before, while also debunking false claims. But on these bigger and bolder investigations, the team will also endeavor to track down the true source of these hauntings and restore peace and order among the living – and the dead.
Lots of exciting things to anticipate later this year, right?
Check-In
Were you a Ghost Hunters fan? Are you happy to see Jason, Tango and Steve reunited like this?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
I’m excited. Ghost Hunters fan here. 🙂
Their show was boring, then they got caught faking evidence, I don’t expect much difference in this show, but hey you never know, maybe this will be better, fingers crossed.
It was super disappointing when they got busted for the fakery, wasn’t it?
Yay totally happy about it. Miss them.
Wait GH got busted for faking? I didn’t know that! Oh no that makes me sad.
Sorry I’m just now replying. Yes! Grant got busted during one of the Halloween specials. It’s why he left and you don’t see much of him anymore. But there’s some other people who called out stuff too. But the Halloween tug on his jacket was the one that was the last straw.
Oh come on, not them again. I couldn’t stomach Jason’s high handed approach to everyone except Steve. Jason, with Steve whispering in his ear, bullied everyone on the set. Not much ghost hunting, but a lot of stabs in the back. Travel Channel you dumped Nick Groft for this?
