Have you heard about the I Like Scary Movies Immersive Experience? It’s a pop-up, which are becoming more and more prominent, but this one just raised the benchmark on coolness.

In 2017, to hype the premiere of IT: The First Chapter, an “IT Experience” pop-up opened in California. It was a replica of the creepy house from the IT movie. A yellow rain coat-clad Georgie guided you on a “tour” of the house, the inside of which you were allowed to take photos of.

That sounded fun, but the I Like Horror Movies experience sounds even better.

Per their website (find all their details in the For More Info section below):

I Like Scary Movies is a groundbreaking interactive art installation celebrating some of your favorite films, including the first chapter of IT, The Shining, The Lost Boys, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Beetlejuice!

But this is the modern, Instagrammable Age, folks, so guess what? You don’t just walk through looking at stuff. You get to pose with recreations of some of horror’s most iconic props and scenes ever, such as:

  • The trike, shower and elevators from The Shining.
  • The couch that was in the waiting room in Beetlejuice.
  • A giant replica of Freddy’s finger knives.
  • A coffin surrounded by creepy clowns.

Here are some examples I Like Scary Movies experience-goers posted on Instagram using the #ILSM hashtag:
