When I first wrote about Portals to Hell premiering on Travel Channel, the first thing that caught my eye from the press release was that Jack Osbourne and Katrina Weidman were going to investigate somewhere never before seen on TV: The LaLaurie Mansion in New Orleans.
The time for that episode to air is drawing near.
Jack Osbourne and Katrina Weidman will make history as the first and only paranormal team to investigate the infamous LaLaurie Mansion in New Orleans.
You can watch the highly anticipated Portals to Hell investigation on Friday, June 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
The historic home in New Orleans is known for its sadistic history and legendary hauntings. It has inspired various books, movies and TV shows, including American Horror Story.
According to local historians, the mansion’s matriarch, Madame LaLaurie, kept many dark secrets in her house and had a twisted desire for torture and suffering.
Now, Osbourne and Weidman hunt for the truth behind the terrifying rumors that surround this real-life house of horrors. Will they be successful in their attempts to make contact with the numerous spirits believed to be trapped within its walls?

Have you been curious to see someone investigate the LaLaurie Mansion too?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
I’m glad they investigated LaLaurie because sometimes I wonder with any historic place how much is myth and how much is actual history/haunting.
I’ve been to NO and always wondered if the mansion is truly haunted or if the stories are overly embellished. I’m excited and can’t wait to see what they find.
