Travel Channel has promised a hell of an October for its 2019 Ghostober lineupSeven new series will premiere, including Ghost Nation, which will bring back the familiar Ghost Hunter alum faces of Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango. Other series returning with familiar faces include Ghost Adventures, The Dead Files, and Mountain Monsters. But where’s the Tennessee Wraith Chasers?

Last year they did Ghost Hunt Live during the Halloween season. I kept waiting to see if that would happen again, but I haven’t seen anything about it.

Travel Channel is going to do a live event again, Haunted Salem Live (which is one of Travel Channel’s four mini-series and specials this year). It will feature investigators from other Travel Channel shows (Kindred Spirits, The Holzer Files, and Ghost Brothers to name a few.) I expected Haunted Town’s Tennessee Wraith Chasers might be a part of that, but nope.

No Shows?

So where are they? Not on TV this season?

I thought it was strange no press releases had hit my inbox about them, so I did some Google snooping to see if there was anything I may have missed. Appears not.

The eight Haunted Towns episodes that aired this past July and August seem to be it for their shows. Apart from any reruns that may air.

So if you’re a Tennessee Wraith Chasers fan, it looks like you won’t be able to tune in every week and watch them in anything new.

However, there is a way to still catch them –live and in person.

  1. Can someone please tell me where these guys disappeared to? Why did the Travel Channel blow them off? They were one of the best investigative paranormal teams I have ever witnessed! TV Producers are great at cutting their own throats! Now they have Kesha doing paranormal investigations! Really? First, Jack Osbourne, and now Kesha? This is getting scarier than every ghost search I’ve ever been on!

You know, you bring up a good point, Troy. I think they’ve been axed for whatever reason. I see them doing investigations on their own from time to time or in conjunction with events like Ghost Hunt Weekends (Or Ghost Hunts USA, I get them confused. Whatever the one is that Chad Morin runs.) But I checked the 2022 look ahead programming post (https://www.hauntjaunts.net/travel-channel-and-discovery-announces-2022-paranormal-programming/). No mention of TWC.

One other thing, though: This is a great post idea so thanks for that!
