When I had the radio show, I interviewed a new guest just about every week. That’s one of the things I missed doing and partly why I decided to start the podcast.

I’ve known Lon Strickler from Phantoms and Monsters almost as long I’ve been doing Haunt Jaunts. (Haunt Jaunts turned 10 this year. I probably started interacting with Lon in 2010 or 2011.)

Once upon a time he even had me as a guest on his show. (He now hosts Arcane Radio, but back when he had me on it was called something else.)

I always wanted to have him on my radio show, but stopped doing it before I could get around to scheduling him. As I was scrolling through Instagram a few weeks back, who popped up in my feed? Yep, Lon! He was posing with his latest release, Alien Disclosure: Experiencers Expose Reality.

After I liked it, I hopped on over to Facebook and messaged him, asking if he’d like to talk with me about it on the podcast. To my delight, he said he’d be happy to make time for that.

I say “make time” because Lon is a very busy man. That’s one of the things that came up during our discussion. As did:

  • Aliens (obvi)
  • Alien abductions
  • His investigation into the Chicago Mothman
  • Men in Black
  • Black-eyed children and other possible extraterrestrial encounters

I sure was grateful for his time. He made for an excellent first guest. (My interviewing skills –if I ever had any– were a little rusty. He was gentle on me!)

  1. I’m listening to the podcast right now. I didn’t know Chicago had a Mothman-like creature, too.

Oh!!!! THANKS for tuning in!!!! Yes! I think it started in 2017 with sightings. It even made “regular” news (like NBC, ABC, etc) there for a while. But so far if there was anything it remains a mystery what it was.
