In case you haven’t already heard, Travel Channel greenlit a second season of its new series, Ghost Nation. But not only will we see Jason, Steve and Tango back in action, we’ll see more of them. Travel Channel added more episodes. The expanded 20-episode season will air in 2020.
Ghost Nation debuted during Travel Channel’s annual “Ghostober” event. It was the second-highest rated debut for the network in 2019. To date, Ghost Nation has pulled in over 5 million viewers.
Fans were eager to see the “OG” gang of paranormal investigators –Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango– back on TV taking care of ghost business. The show followed the paranormal pioneers as they helped homeowners dealing with harrowing hauntings.
They responded to urgent calls from local paranormal investigators nationwide who had reached dead ends. The trio stepped in to solve the high-stakes cases with robust, multi-stage investigations.
“Ghost Nation was an exciting launch for us, and it’s clear our viewers are just as eager to see Jason, Steve and Dave back on the case, doing what they do best,” said Matthew Butler, general manager, Travel Channel. “We’re beyond elated to do another season with them, super serving their loyal fan base with more locations and deeper investigations.”
The series was one of the highest-rated programs during “Ghostober,” Travel Channel’s annual October programming event, which encompassed 31 days of all-new spooky premieres. It ended up as the highest-rated October in network history, making it one hell of a month for Travel Channel.
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Yay, another good show from the Travel Channel!
Thank you for the update!
Sure thing! (LOL Told you I had one…this was the one you sent me right?)
