Oh, we are major in the thick of gearing up for spooky season now. While COVID-19 may change the look of our Halloween landscape a bit this year, it can’t change the feel. Which is that delicious shiver up our spines and tingles of nerves as we anticipate all the creepy stuff that’s in store for us. Including via our TVs with seasonal programming like Freeform’s 31 Nights of Halloween. To spotlight it, they’ve come up with a free three-day event: Halloween Road.

Which shouldn’t be confused with the Haunted Road, a similar Halloween concept in that it’s a drive-thru too, but it’s a haunted house drive-thru and it’s on the other side of the country in Florida.

Here are the details for when Halloween Road is happening, where it’s happening and what it’s all about.

Halloween Road: An Outdoor Immersive Experience

For 2020 Freeform has decided to take their “annual Halloween event on the road –literally!”

Why? Well, you know. Because “even ghosts need to stay socially distant.” Yet, ghouls just wanna have fun, especially when Halloween rolls around.

How do you accomplish some socially distanced fun during both Halloween and a pandemic? Thankfully drive-thru ideas have caught on!

The folks at Freeform are setting up a haunted drive-thru where you stay behind the wheel of your car but get to thrill at the worlds of Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas, Hocus Pocus and more. (Maybe ebven Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice?)

The event will include games, performances and prizes.

Dates

The three-day event will take place October 2-4, 2020.

Location

Heritage Square Museum in Los Angeles, California, which is a living history museum consisting of eight historic buildings from the Victorian era.

Cost

Free!

However, you do have to register to get tickets. The tickets will be released on September 12, 2020, starting at 10 a.m. PST.

  1. What a great idea for a Halloween celebration. I don’t have a particular movie I watch every year, but I have a category of movies I like to watch every October: classic horror like The Birds and Psycho. Fun stuff!

Oooo! Hitchcock! If it wasn’t Covid and we lived closer, I’d offer to bring the snacks!
