What are the results of The Haunting at Home experiment? (So far)

Would you be willing to try the Haunting at Home experience?

Back in September, Jim from The Haunted Walk, a ghost tour company, reached out to paranormal podcasters with an invitation to try a virtual paranormal experience they had created: The Haunting at Home Paranormal Adventure. It sounded super interesting, but he made it even more enticing by offering a free trial for a limited time, as well as a partnership with a chance to earn a commission. Speaking of…

Disclaimer: HJ did enter into a partnership with The Haunted Walk. We may receive a small commission if you use our promo code,  HAUNTJAUNTS, to purchase a Haunting at Home Paranormal Adventure of your own. Normally that would get you 20% off, but through Cyber Monday 2020 it will nab you 50% off! (Also, as always, we appreciate you supporting our sponsors and advertisers. It helps pay the website maintenance and hosting fees!)

Anyway, Jim wrote again to share a link to the results with an update on the Haunting at Home experiment and the results they’ve tabulated so far. The initial reports wielded some interesting findings, namely that a majority of homes are haunted.

Before I delve into that, let’s revisit what the Haunting at Home experiment is all about.

What is the Haunting at Home Paranormal Adventure?

Since they wrote it up so perfectly, I’ll just share that:

The Haunting at Home is an interactive online audio experience you can do right in your own house, apartment or creepy cabin in the woods. It is narrated by The Haunted Walk’s Creative Director and host of the Haunted Talks podcast, Jim Dean. This Paranormal Adventure is the perfect night of spooky fun for those who are intrigued by ghost stories or enjoy the thrill of trying to contact the other side.

It’s designed for between 2 to 8 people, but it is possible to do it solo too. It takes about two hours, give or take. It’s also family-friendly!

As of November 15, 2020, almost 1,000 participants have taken place in 354 experiments.

The majority of participants, 86%, came from Canada. Which makes sense since The Haunted Walk is Canadian-based. The second and third most participants hailed from the U.S., 12%, and the European Union, 2%.

Of all participants, 64% reported paranormal activity. Only 5% had to use the Safety Hatch. (Which was in place for emergency use in case the experiment became too intense to handle.)

The majority of experiments, 74%, were conducted in a house or townhouse. 23% took place in an apartment or a condo.

However, the most interesting part is that regardless of where the experiment was conducted, whether it was a house or an apartment, the percentage of groups reporting activity was the same: 67%.

That’s super curious. I wonder if they’ll discover any reasons for this upon further analysis?

I’ll keep my eyes peeled for more reports. They say they plan to publish the final results in 2021.

How to Win a Haunting at Home Experiment

The other day I shared a preview of the Haunt Jaunts Winner’s Choice Holiday 2020 Giveaway.  The Haunting at Home Paranormal Adventure is one of the prizes.

I was planning on purchasing it if someone chose it, but Jim has graciously offered to supply the prize! Which guess what that means? His generosity frees up more funds to pick an extra winner or two!

However, if you can’t wait to try and win because you either want to try this yourself ASAP or you want to surprise someone with an early Christmas gift, you can always get the experiment now.
