Valentine’s Day 2021 Haunted Houses: Will Any Be Open?

In year’s past, right about now is when haunted houses (of the Halloween variety) start advertising their Valentine’s Day dates. Where cities and states allowed it, haunted attractions did open for Halloween 2020.  So what about for the most romantic day of the year? Will haunted houses be open for Valentine’s Day 2021? And if so, which ones?

I wasn’t sure, but I knew where to look for answers: TheScareFactor.com and Facebook.

What did I find out? Yes! There are haunted houses planning to open for Valentine’s Day 2021! 39 of them in 22 states to be exact. (Pandemic permitting.) Three others are hoping to open, but as of this post, they’re waiting to see if they can. (Again, pandemic permitting.)

Something I found interesting was that I listed 61 haunted houses in 26 states for 2019’s Valentine’s Day. Somehow I skipped 2020, but I have a feeling it was probably about as many as 2019, if not more. Especially considering at that point it was still pre-pandemic.

Yes, there’s a slight decrease in Valentine’s Day 2021 haunted house, but even with the pandemic, haunters aren’t deterred. Halloween is obviously their biggest season, but Valentine’s Day is always a popular second. 2021 is proving no exception.

Well, these are the ones that are planning to open,  but if 2020’s taught us anything, you know how that goes. Things can change!

However, for now, these are the ones advertising their dates.

They’re listed in alphabetical order by state. If you don’t live in a state with a Valentine’s Day haunted house and are planning to travel to one, be sure to check for any travel restrictions. It’s also not a bad idea to be clear on refund and cancelation policies before you purchase tickets.
