Virtual Haunted Campfires 2021: Line-Up and Schedule

At the beginning of this year, I wrote a Haunted Walk update after talking with HW’s creative director, Jim Dean, for the podcast. One of the things that came up was up their Virtual Haunted Campfires for 2021. Jim hosts them but he turns it over to special guests from around the world who present all manner of spooky tales, lore, and history.

I realized I hadn’t made a “Note to Self” as I’d intended to follow up on when they would start, which they already have. The first one happened on February 20 and there have been two more since then.

However, never fear, if you missed one that you want to watch even after it happened, you can always catch the recording. That goes for the Halloween Haunted Campfires from 2020 too, which are still available for your viewing pleasure.

Let’s take a look at the Virtual Haunted Campfires 2021 lineup and schedule, as well as how they work and how much they cost.

Virtual Haunted Campfires 2021

Sat., Feb. 20, 2021: Laurier House

The Laurier House is now high on my list of places I want to jaunt to after talking with Jim. During our chat he explained how it was the former residence of two of Canada’s Prime Ministers, one of them being William Lyon Mackenzie King.

Apparently, King was a fascinating man who held seances to contact relatives, even his dead dogs, and used the occult to make certain decisions. They talk about this and the building’s other “ghost stories and spooky history” during this campfire.

Sat., Feb. 27, 2021: London Bridge

Did you know the bridge from the nursery rhyme has a dark, haunted history? This iconic London landmark is the starting point for many of London’s chilling tales which are covered in this campfire.

Sat., Mar. 6, 2021: Fort Langley

Fort Langley in British Columbia was a former fur trading post and “sits along the misty shores of the Fraser River.” Sounds like a perfect setting for ghosts, which it is. There are ghosts from the area’s bygone gold rush, cemetery spirits, and more shared during this campfire.

Sat., Mar. 13, 2021: Don’t Go Into the Woods with Mark Leslie

Well, you’re going to have to go into the woods with Mark for this campfire, as the paranormal author is the one sharing “a combination of hair-raising true tales of ghosts, spectres, and other unexplainable phenomenon alongside a pair of tales written specifically to be shared around a campfire.”

Sat., Mar. 20, 2021: St. John’s, Newfoundland

“Atlantic Canada’s darkest corners await” you in this campfire, which brings to life “the dark underbelly of St. John’s & Newfoundland’s sordid past.” You’ll hear about “public hangings, duels, and horrific murders, forgotten cemeteries and unmarked graves, and buildings known to be visited by those who have passed over to the other side.”

Sat., Mar. 27, 2021: Halifax Citadel

I loved when we had the chance to see the Halifax Citadel but we didn’t get to take the ghost tour, so I’m very interested in watching this haunted campfire that talks about all of the ghost stories and sightings, including its most famous ghost: The Grey Lady!
