Death Walker: Is Nick Groff’s new series coming to discovery+ US?

Updated January 27, 2023

On April 2, Nick Groff Tweeted that his new series, Death Walker, would premiere on discovery+ UK on April 9.

Obviously, this bummed out a lot of Nick Groff U.S. fans. Although, a lot of paranormal TV fans are already bummed out that shows are premiering on discovery+ first before traditional cable platforms like Travel Channel anyway.

However, in this case, it appears Death Walker was technically already released in the U.S. on October 31, 2020, via Groff’s subscription service, VIDI SPACE. At least the first season. The episodes that started streaming on discovery+ UK are brand new.

But for those who don’t subscribe to VIDI SPACE and who live in the United States, will it be coming somewhere they can watch, like discovery+ US, Destination America, or Travel Channel? And if so, when?

Let’s see what we know so far, starting with what the series is about and where to catch a sneak peek.

About Death Walker

What is the series all about? Here’s the description from IMDB:

Nick Groff theorizes and investigates the origin of some of the most notorious hauntings in America, redefining our understanding of the paranormal.

Nick Groff has responded to a couple of fans on both Twitter and Facebook that they’re working on bringing the series to audiences not only in the U.S. but worldwide.

Then, on April 16, he released a special sneak peek on YouTube with this message:

NEW! Sneak Peek into my new hit series Death Walker. I know that we weren’t able to make the initial release for Death Walker to everyone, but my team and I are working on it. In the meantime, I decided to create this special sneak peek for all of my fans to watch from anywhere in the world. In this 24 hour investigation into “Gothic Jail” in DeRidder Louisiana, I explore the dark secrets of its haunted past and immerse myself into the prisoners’ domain to experience what they went through. Join me on my quest to push the boundaries of what we know or think we know in exploring the unknown.

It’s not a full episode, but maybe an appetizer is better than nothing? I’ll let you be the judge.

As soon as I hear when and where the full series will be released in the U.S., I’ll be sure to share an update.

2023 Update

As promised, here’s the update about where to watch Death Walker in the U.S. And, surprisingly, it’s not discovery+ U.S.! Which is even better because you don’t need a subscription for these services. They’re all free!

You can now watch all 39 episodes (so far) of the series on FilmRise and the FilmRise True Crime YouTube channel, as well as The Roku Channel.

Since the sneak peek is not a full episode, would you consider it more of an appetizer or a tease?

  1. Eh, appetizer or teaser, either way, it’s an interesting peek at an interesting, eerie, old jail!

  2. I am a 100% permanent & total disabled wartime veteran, and sometimes, I say or write things I wish I hadn’t said. Is it possible for you to remove the above post, please? I am not too fond of Jack Osbourne, but I didn’t mean to call the guy a dork, a doofus, and a clown. That was kind of mean, and I am sorry. It comes from my disability. I am a professional writer, so I can write alongside the best of them. I also took an editing course at university, so I have to go back and edit what I have written some of the time. In this case, there was no “edit” button. 🙁 Thank you, Priscilla. Troy

Hey, Troy, I deleted the comment for you. But it was honest and not that mean. Trust me, people have said SO MUCH worse!

  4. Thank you for your kind words, and I have signed up with your site. Why does the avatar still look like it does?

OH!!! That I believe is connected to Discuss…or wait, probably Gravatar. If I’m remember right, you upload a photo there and associate it with whatever email you use to comment here (or anywhere) and then your photo shows up.

  6. Well, Death Walker still isn’t here in the U.S.! WTH!? He has already filmed the entire Season 3, and I can’t access it through streaming sites or even torrents. I have a management degree. Someone with my knowledge of how to manage a business needs to take a trip to the TRavel Channel studios and teach some people about money management and projecting profits. Managers these days are so worried about the bottom line in the here and now that they don’t look at the results that would occur if they made certain business moves NOW! That’s me up there ^^^, Troy Theisen. I just changed my name to my Ghost Hunting Group, which was Exceed the Veil (but that was taken). So we have settle on Breach the Veil. We are looking for a few more people to join up around the St. Louis area. Do you have a classified section on your site, Miss Courtney?

Hey Troy! It’s all about the numbers. Dave Schrader talked about this in an interview I did with him. If a show isn’t getting watched right away, talked about on socials, etc., it’s getting canned. (And by “watched right away” he meant if episodes aren’t released all at once and people wait to binge them, that actually hurts a show.) Anyway, that seems to be the world we live in now.

Oh and to answer your other question: no. No classified section.
