‘Tis the season for horror movies. I just got wind of one I hadn’t heard about yet: Paranormal Activity. Click here to check out the movie’s website.
The title alone would have piqued my interest, but I read something about it on a site called Film School Rejects that made me think, “Hmm…what’s this all about?”
Apparently they gave kudos to the way the trailer was done. But they said they were waiting for a disclaimer about it being too intense for people with heart conditions or pregnant women. (I realized afterward that they were being somewhat cheeky.)
Still, as far as trailers go, it was okay. The movie’s now on my list of possibilities to see when it comes out. If it comes out near me. Paranormal Activity will be released in select cities on September 25.
I can’t embed the trailer from the movie’s site. So here’s the link to that. It differs slightly from the trailer on YouTube. (Which is embedded below.)

Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
