The Simply Spooktacular Halfway to Halloween 2021 Giveaway [CLOSED]

Life is funny, isn’t it? One place might suffer a drought while at the same time another endures flooding. The Weird Holidays & Observances page is like that. Not every day has a strange observance. In fact, some months are leaner on them than others. (I’m looking at you, February and July.)

Then there are the dates themselves. Some may have only one celebration while others may have multiple. April 30 is one of the dates that have more than one. Four, in fact, including:

1. Beltane
2. Hexennacht
3. Walpurgis Night
4. Halfway to Halloween

Hexennacht and Walpurgis Night are both witch-centered, but one is for them and the other against. (For more about that, see: “What Do Witches Do on Walpurgis Night?”.)

I couldn’t resist including a witchy vibe when I created the Halfway to Halloween 2021 giveaway announcement on Instagram. (By way of the song accompanying the video, the Lana Del Rey version of “Season of the Witch.”)

How to Enter the Halfway to Halloween 2021 Giveaway

Answer these 2 questions:

1. What’s your favorite thing about Halloween?
2. What country do you live in? (This will be used for drawing purposes. We’ll have one for U.S. residents and one for non-U.S.)

Winners

There was only 1 International entry so congratulations to Isabella from Canada!

There were a lot of entries from the U.S. Thanks to all you Special Boos who entered everywhere else you could besides through the newsletter too. There were also a lot who entered on Instagram or on the blog.

But it was a Jenn F’s newsletter entry that nabbed her the prize. Congrats Jenn!
