Making an Ancient Lore Village Reservation: How to Book Your Stay

When I compared the finished Ancient Lore Village to the proposal, I mentioned how it’s not your typical resort. Not only because the dwellings (rooms) and the entire property are themed. (And not just for kids, but geared towards adults too.) Making a reservation at the Ancient Lore Village is a little different too. Let’s check it out.

Ancient Lore Village Group Reservations

As they explain on their website, the “Ancient Lore Village is available for rent as an all-inclusive package experience.”

This means you pretty much need to have some sort of group event to stay there. They can accommodate up to 22 overnight guests or non-overnight groups of up to 300 people. It’s really an option for those looking to host family reunions, weddings, or corporate events.

But what if you don’t have a wedding, family reunion, or company that might host an event there? Are you SOL?

Not exactly.

The Ancient Lore Village also hosts its own monthly events. That’s your ticket to not only getting inside but also to spending the night in one of the six dwellings without having to assemble a big group and rent the entire resort.

Reserving a Room for an ALV Event

They strongly encourage you to sign up for their newsletter so you’ll get information about their monthly events. When they host one, they offer the option to buy a ticket for the event only or to also book one of the dwellings. However, you still have to buy an event ticket in order to book a room.

For instance, June 2021’s event is a Halloween in June Adult Costume Party. Tickets to the event cost $50 per person plus tax. But if you were also to book a room that night, here’s what they cost.

The Gremlin Den, Orc Home, Fairy Cottage, and Leprechaun Lair sleep up to two people each and run $450 a night.

The Waterfall Villa contains two bedrooms, one with a king and the other with a queen-sized bed. It runs $700 a night.

Bokee’s Bungalow is a two-story villa with two bedrooms with queen beds, four bunkbeds, and three full bathrooms for $900 a night.

Tours

What about if event tickets and room rates are out of your price range? Do they offer a tour or anything?

On their website under the FAQs they say they are working on creating a tour package. It will be a guided tour based on Bokee’s Trek, the book which the Ancient Lore Village is based on, and will also include a Chef-inspired lunch.

Agreed! I’ve been saving money up on my travel credit card. I’m trying to decide if I should use some for this event. My husband happens to want to get away this weekend so…I’ll definitely write about it if we get to stay there after all!

  3. Well Courtney I think you should take me. As I your biggest fan. Or actually I’d love for you to take me to Zak Bagans museum. I’d love to meet his Mom and the guys too. So what do u say???
