They may be separated by over 900 miles but the Roswell Incident will forever connect Roswell, New Mexico, and the Extraterrestrial Highway in Nevada, both of which rank among the 16 most popular UFO destinations in the U.S. Since 2022 marks the 75th anniversary of the incident, you know the annual UFO Festival in Roswell will be even more jumping than usual. However, even when it’s not celebrating an anniversary, Roswell always welcomes tourists. But what about the infamous secret military base to the north? Can you take a tour of Area 51?
Well, yes. Sort of. You can take a tour to the area, but not inside the elusive base. Let’s check it out.
The Area 51 Tour
Here’s a description of the tour:
Does Area 51 really exist? Yes, it does and it is more active than ever. For decades, the unknown Janet Airlines has been in the air moving workers to and from the base. At any time you’ll see as many as 1,000 cars parked in their secret lot at McCarran Airport. This tour takes you through Alamo, NV, to the remote and beautiful high desert to a Delamar dry lake where there have been many UFO sightings and where there are 6′ tall Alien Petroglyphs carved on the nearby rock formations. We make a quick stop at the Black Mailbox (recently abducted, but now back!). We also drive the famous Extraterrestrial Highway thru the mutant Joshua Tree Forest to the World Famous Little A’Le’ Inn for lunch. Afterward, we whisk you off to the perimeter of Area 51 to see listening devices and cameras plus the famous “Camo Dudes.” This is an amazing day that proves something big is going on! This is the real X-Files!
What’s Included in the Area 51 Tour
In addition to a professional guide giving you the history of the area, lunch, snacks and bottled water are also incuded.

Check-In
Have you ever taken a jaunt to either Roswell or along the Extraterrestrial Highway? (Perhaps even on a mission to scope out Area 51?)
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
I’ve been to Roswell, twice! But not near Area 51, though!
Oh that’s right! I remember now you said you’d been to Roswell before but I’m not sure I appreciated it was twice! Awesome!
