Thanks to someone affiliated with promoting Ghost Adventures I had a chance to watch tonight’s Vulture Mine episode ahead of time.

What a place! I’m not going to give away any spoilers (exactly). I’ll let you enjoy the episode as it happens.

THERE SHE BLOWS!

But I will say this: I used to live in Arizona and I remember when parts of the normally dry desert could be turned into a raging river in seconds flat. Zak, Nick, and Aaron got to experience that when a wicked storm bore down upon them.

I almost thought they were going to film themselves being dumb motorists and making a mistake so many drivers do during monsoons: ignore road blocks and attempt to drive through the water.

They were supposed to film that night and Zak in particular was focused on making it happen. (Aaron cracked me up. He was focused on whether the waters might have carried gold in their currents!)

Anyway, some cops showed up on scene before the boys could make any bad choices. (I don’t really think they were gonna attempt to drive through. Zak’s from Vegas. He’s surely seen the same dry-to-flood state before too and knows how dangerous it can be.)

But to make sure, the cops stayed on their tail as they drove off.

MOTHER NATURE HELPED, NOT HURT?

Zak interpreted the bad storms that delayed their lockdown as being Mother Nature not wanting them to go there.

I disagree. Judging by not only the number, but the quality, of EVPs they got, I’m thinking maybe Mother Nature concocted a potent mix to help fuel activity at the Vulture Mine to give them a better investigation.

But who knows? Maybe they would’ve had the same results without all the natural drama they had to contend with.

SEMI-SPOILER ALERT

The only sort of spoiler I’ll give away is that the bordello, assay office and school house are all among the most active, but the old school house is said to be most active, surprisingly enough.

Oh, and speaking of the assay office…this episode was ripe with words someone with a dirty mind (like me) could have a lot of fun making inapproprite innuendos with. Words like assayer, glory hole, and soiled doves.

But I’ll behave…

ONE TOOL THEY COULD’VE USED IN THE OLD SCHOOL HOUSE

Something else that came to mind as I watched the episode was the black light UV flashlight I’m giving away in the Shining Your Light contest.

As they were doing their walk through, Craig Johnson, a local paranormal investigator, was giving them background on Vulture Mine activity. He warned them to be careful in the old school house because there was a scorpion’s nest just inside the door.

The flashlight detects pests like scorpions. (As well as blood, urine and vomit among other things.) I’d sure want something like that in a place where scorpions skittled about!

Note to Zak, Nick and Aaron: I’ve got an extra black light UV flashlight if you ever want to borrow it, boys. Even sans scorpions I imagine you’d find ways to put it to great use!

  1. It’s almost time, great job on the shoot guys…

    I can’t believe it’s finally here…I’m so excited !!!!

Everything went off without a hitch and it’s all because of you..

    Congrats,

Just a fan who showed some love and saw how beautiful someone really was.

  2. Yep. Found my replacement to Most Haunted in Ghost Adventures.

Having been dismayed with the cookie cutter format of Ghost hunters, PRA [so much promise but oh so much ego from the ryan bloke] and whatever else they have out there, i was guarded for a bit.

GA first caught my attention when they showed something materialise and follow nick as he worked by himself. A huge plus for the x-camera format [did the clouds forming an X when you were in Italy ever amount to anything?]

Having grown up in a place with more ghosts than tax payers, i’m cautiously cognizant of the fact you are playing with fire. Could be worse. Could be me having to do the investigating but i think for now and always, i shall leave it in your capable hands.

  3. Thanks for the comments, Matthew and Michael!

Sounds like you two are fans too! YAY! I love knowing more GAC peeps! 😉
