Chuy's: A Haunted Mexican Restaurant and Halloween Hot Spot

Twice this past week I’ve lucked out and had the pleasure of eating at Chuy’s in Cool Springs.

THE RESULT OF CHUY’S EXPERIENCE #1

The first time was last Sunday when my husband and I went for dinner. That’s when I snapped pictures (below) of the inside. They’d transformed it for Halloween into a haunted Mexican restaurant. Fun!

THE RESULT OF CHUY’S EXPERIENCE #2

The second time I got to eat there was three days later.

Some of the girls I play tennis with decided to do lunch after our games. That’s when we hatched a plan to have a little Halloween fun with our coach at our upcoming clinic that Friday.

Here’s what resulted from our plotting:

(Some of the girls brought masks their kids had. Before clinic we all put our masks on and ran onto the court. Coach Beth loved it!)

Courtney Mroch

Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.

Tonight, if you hear something scratching around your window, something making the dogs in the area bark, hear a little faint giggle, it’s just me coming for a visit on All Hallow’s Eve.
