The “Bits and Pieces Bonus Episode” of the Haunting American True Crimes season of the Haunt Jaunts podcast was the last one for that series. However, during it, I encouraged listeners to subscribe because another season would be coming soon: Haunted Christmas.
It will just be a short season, only four episodes, the first of which drops on Monday, December 6. I figured I’d share what all of the episodes will be about as well as share the trailer to give you an idea of what to expect.
Haunted Christmas Episodes
Ep. 1: “Haunted Places with Christmas Names”
Premieres Monday, December 6
We’ll kick off the Haunted Christmas season by exploring haunted places with Christmas names —three of which also have UFO activity. Which seems appropriate. It might not be aliens from another world but Santa and his reindeer people are seeing! We’ll look into that and you can decide.
Ep. 2: “Best Places to Find the Ghosts of Christmas Past”
Premieres Monday, December 13
In this episode, we’ll explore haunted, historic places that are dedicated to bringing the Christmas season from bygone eras alive.
Ep. 3: “Making Merry: Night of the Living Christmas Decorations”
Premieres Monday, December 20
What do Halloween and Christmas share in common? They’re both great times for sharing ghost stories so that’s what I’m going to do!
In somewhat of a departure from the normal type of content I share, I’ll instead read an original spooky Christmas short story I wrote once upon a time. It doesn’t exactly involve ghosts, but it is about possessed objects that haunt a couple of kids.
Ep. 4: Best Places to Spend a Spirited New Year’s Eve”
Premieres Monday, December 27
We’ll end the series after Christmas by looking at some great places to spend a spirited New Year’s Eve.

What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Our family has a little tradition of opening one gift on Christmas eve just in case the Grinch comes. I’m looking forward to hearing your story in the 3rd episode!
Oh! That was my favorite tradition growing up…opening the one present on Christmas Eve. Except for the year my dad let me open just the battery and none of the toys they went to. I was too little to understand they even went into something though. I cried so hard that night and hoped when I woke up Santa brought me something better. LOL And I hope you’ll get a kick out of my story in the 3rd episode!
