There are a lot of reasons to attend Comic-Con Special Edition. One of them is the Destination Fear panel that was just added, especially if you’re a fan of the show. Unless something else gets added, it’s the only Travel Channel/discovery+ show with a panel at this special edition of Comic-Con.
Which isn’t one of the three reasons you should attend the Destination Fear panel, but I guess it could be. Let’s check out what the three reasons are though. But first, let’s get to know a little about the con.
Comic-Con Special Edition
Ever since the pandemic hit, Comic-Cons have been virtual. But Comic-Con Special Edition is a chance for fans to finally “gather in person as a community.” (For the first time since 2019!)
Because of the current COVID-19 restrictions in California, it won’t be, as organizers out it, “the large gathering reflective of the summer event.”
However, it will still embody the spirit and have everything “reminiscent of [their] convention from years past.” That includes exhibits, programs, cosplay, gaming, autographs, and more.
Comic-Con Special Edition takes place at the San Diego Convention Center from November 26-28.
Destination Fear Season 3, Part 2
The second half of Destination Fear season 3 premiered concurrently on Travel Channel and discovery+ on November 6.
Dakota Laden, Chelsea Laden, Tanner Wiseman and Alex Schroeder continue their “tour de terror” travels along the haunted highways, byways and back roads of America. Always looking for ways to up the ante on their frightening social experiment about fear, they once again spend the night alone inside abandoned haunted buildings, asylums, and prisons.
However, this time they surprise even themselves and venture further out of their comfort zones than ever before in their pursuit of paranormal evidence and a deeper understanding of fear. Their most challenging and extreme journey yet takes them across the pond to Ireland.
Destination Fear: To Hell and Back Panel
During the Comic-Con Special Edition panel, fans will hear about the Destination Fear team’s nightmarish experiences. This includes their most shocking moments, the places they would never return to, and what it takes to endure sleepovers night-after-night inside these sinister destinations.
The team will also reveal behind-the-scenes stories from their first-ever international destination together: Ireland!
And now for the three reasons to attend. Those who do…
- Will get an EXCLUSIVE sneak peek of the Ireland episode
- Have the chance to ask their own burning questions
- Will receive an exciting giveaway.
Their panel is from 4:00–5:00 p.m. PT on Saturday, November 27.
They’ll also have an autograph session from 2:00–3:00 pm the same day.

Check-In
I wonder what the giveaway will be? Maybe a duck? What do you think?
And have you watched any of the Destination Fear season 3, part 2 episodes? Have they sparked any burning questions you would want to ask, Dakota, Chelsea, Tanner, or Alex?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
