I was in a rush to make an 11 a.m. commitment when I posted the link to Chihuly at Cheekwood on HJ’s Facebook page this morning. I referenced fellow bloggers who inspire me with their beautiful words and photography, but I left someone important out.
I named Jessica Penot of Ghost Stories and Haunted Places and Dinell Holmes of the Weekly Spectre but I neglected to include Julie from Above the Norm.
I did not mean to, but I knew it was going to happen even before I hit “Share.” I couldn’t get my brain to spit out the other person whose pictures I always love viewing on their blog before I had to get going.
And how I could’ve forgotten Julie I have no idea. This week her blog is filled with more examples of her photo essay skills I admire so much (eg. The Sad Little Dump and The Forgotten Shop) as she chronicles the adventures she and her blogging partner in crime, Autumnforest of Ghost Hunting Theories, have been having on the road. (This time it’s to Casa Grande’s Lost Places.)
I feel awful about my goof. I figured the best way to clear my conscience and show Julie some sugar at the same time was by making my apology public.
Julie, if you ever had any doubts before about my sincerity of how much I truly love your blog, I hope this apology annihilates them! So sorry about my brain fart.
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Awww, no problem my friend, I do feel the love. We all get those nasty brain farts that cause us to forget things. I am always doing that, lol. Cyber hugs for you my friend…
THANKS, Julie! I felt just horrible when I realized my mistake and HAD to do something to make it all better!!!!!
