Dinell Holmes wasn’t the only one to stop by and give me an award recently. Jeremy from iZombie also stopped by to let me know he had an award waiting for me: the Zombie Rabbit award.

Here’s the instructions I found when I went to claim it:

I am giving this award to [10] of my favorite blogs and places i believe need some well deserved attention. I thought it might be fun to shake it up a bit, sort of a “Pay It Forward” move… let me explain.

01) Give the award to [10] who you like, but give a couple the “Next Blog” slider button on top… so random blogger people can feel the love from a stranger.

02) Post those you gave the award to, so fans of your site can see the places you like and Paid It Forward too.

It took me a little thinking to figure out what the “Next Blog” slider button was that he was referring to. Blogger users will likely understand right away, but it took me a couple of instruction re-reads before the light clicked.

Since my blog’s Wordpress oriented, I decided to use Google to see what kind of new-to-me neato blogs I could find to pass this award on to. Here’s the two I picked, with some detail on why they stood out to me as worthy of love from an unknown stranger:

  1. Paranormal Eyes – This blog is maintained by G.H.O.U.L.I. founder Tonya Hacker. (Is that a great abbreviation or what? It stands for Ghost Haunts of Oklahoma and Urban Legend Investigations. I love it!) I spent quite a while perusing many of her thoughtful and well-written posts.
  2. Paranormal Romance – If you love reading paranormal romances, you will love this blog! Talk about a woman passionate about her reading! But what really appealed to me about her blog was that she sometimes bases her travels on books she’s read. I do that too! Ding, ding, ding! I know a kindred spirit when I spot one and Ms. Diana McCabe is surely that. Very glad to have found her so I can now stalk –er, I mean follow her blog.

I’m not sure if I’m supposed to pass the award on to 10 total, including the two random blogs I was supposed to pick, or if I pass to my 10 favorites plus the two random.

Since I easily have 10 favorites, and I know many of them dig zombies as much as I do, I’m passing on to 10 plus the two random. I hope you all enjoy your wacky and novel Zombie Rabbit as much as I enjoy mine!
