Earlier this year, Stranger Things: The Experience opened for a limited time in New York and San Francisco, but it was during the summer. Which is fine. Nothing wrong with that. It was totally something tubular to do then.
However, wouldn’t it be rad to the max to hit it on Stranger Things Day (November 6)? Well, thanks to the fact that the Stranger Things Experience has since moved on to two new cities, that’s now a possibility. Let’s check out all the deets.
About the Stranger Things Experience
What exactly is it? From the reviews, it sounds like a fan’s dream come true. Here’s the description of the event from Fever, which along with Netflix is who presents it.
Do you copy? It’s your turn to be the main character! Be the hero of your own Stranger Things story at Stranger Things: The Immersive Experience. Your journey will begin in Hawkins Lab, where you’ll take part in a story-driven interactive adventure and use your powers to save the day alongside Eleven, Dustin, Mike, Lucas, Max, and Will. After all that excitement, the fun is far from over: head on over to Mix-Tape to enjoy a throwback to the 80s in iconic locations such as Scoops Ahoy, Family Video, and the Palace Arcade. Whether you come alone, with your family, or with your squad, this is one strange experience you don’t want to miss!
But on their site, “strange” in the second to last sentence (the one I emphasized) is written backwards. Or maybe upside down? Either way, it took me a second to figure out it wasn’t a foreign language or the computer having a moment at that spot.
Stranger Things: The Experience Locations and Dates
It opened in Atlanta on October 22, and if their booking calendar is any indication, it will run until Jan. 15, 2023.
It’s also set to open this month in Los Angeles on November 19. Again, if the booking calendar is any indication, it will be open in L.A. until Feb. 19, 2023.
Time slots are available Wednesdays through Fridays from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. On Saturdays and Sundays, it goes from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Check-In
What’s your favorite location in Stranger Things? Hawkins Lab? The mall? One of the houses? The Russian prison? The Upside Down?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Hawkins Lab is my favorite location. Bad things happen there, so the scenes are exciting!
OMG your comment made me giggle like crazy, Priscilla! What a great reason for your favorite location pick!
