Here’s how SHOWTIME sums up the series:
Wildly talented high school girls’ soccer players descend into savage clans after their plane crashes in the remote northern wilderness. Twenty-five years later, they discover that what began in the wild is far from over.
The series stars Emmy Nominee Melanie Lynskey (Togetherness), Tawny Cypress (Inez & Doug & Kira), Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers), and Christina Ricci (Wednesday), with guest star Elijah Wood (The Lord of the Rings Trilogy).
Yellowjackets Season 2 Synopsis
The Yellowjackets barely made it through summer in the woods, but now as winter begins to bite, we’ll see if hunger and desperation turn into full-on psychosis. While there may or may not be a dark and powerful force inhabiting the wilderness, their survival could depend upon what they choose to believe. Meanwhile, twenty-five years later, each survivor must ask themselves – Is the darkness coming for them, or is it coming from them?

Check-In
Are you a Yellowjackets fan? Who do you think the Antler Queen is?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
We don’t have Showtime, but it sounds like an enthralling show!
I watched part of the 1st episode free on Prime Video. I intend to watch the rest but, well…you know. Time. lol But the little I saw of it so far, I liked. I LOVED seeing some of my favorite actresses from the 90s (and even 80s) all in one show.
