“You know your friend supports your Halloween addiction when…”
There are many ways to fill in that blank. (I invite you to share how you would in the comments below.) In my case, it’s when my friends make sure to share any cool skeleton finds or anything Haunted Mansion.
Thanks to my well-connected buddy Keith Langston, who writes for the likes of People, Entertainment Weekly, and Lonely Planet, he got the scoop on some of the new merch dropping at Lowe’s for Halloween 2024. Twenty-five new items are already available for purchase at Lowes.com, with more coming in mid-August. Among them were both some fun skeleton and Haunted Mansion products.
No Bones About It
Like two new groovy animatronic skeletons, the Haunted Living Bluetooth Reaper Band Guitar and Keyboard Players. Put them with the LED Drummer and Singer and you’ve got yourself a complete bone-jangling band!
Lowe’s New Haunted Mansion Halloween Merch for 2024
But it was the Haunted Mansion merch that caught my eye. Specifically, it was the Haunted Mansion Headless Knight I spied first, which is among this year’s new items.
It would be fabulous enough to have a headless knight as part of my decor, but making it even better, he’s musical! And what else does he sing except none other than the Haunted Mansion’s theme song, “Grim Grinning Ghosts.”
Lucky for me, it’s out of stock at the time of this posting. Or is it already sold out? Either way, at $299, it’s too rich for my blood.
Seafaring Spirits Honorable Mentions
Lowe’s is also introducing a lot of haunted nautical Halloween decorations this year. (Or would that be naughty-cal? That’d make a good name for a spook, wouldn’t it? Naughty Cal, arr!)
They’re not Haunted Mansion per se, but the Haunted Living Steering Captain sure reminded me of something you might find in the Haunted Mansion Bar, which will debut on Disney Treasure when it sets sail this year. But the creepy captain also reminded me of a villain from a Scooby-Doo episode.
So did the Haunted Living Sea Diver. I seem to remember an episode where they were chased by a ghostly scuba diver. Or am I having a Mandela effect moment?
Although, it could also be the type of nightmare you’d find in the Bermuda Triangle or some other haunted triangle. He’s another one I’d love to have. I’d put him out at our boat. If only we had the room…and an extra $350.
Check-In
Which of the above do you like best?
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
OMG! The Singing Knight! It’s possible they’ll get more. They better get more! I am seriously considering it AND the Sea Captain!!!
That said….it’s JUNE for crying out loud. JUNE. I also saw a couple of Halloween tabletop decorations today at Costco. I’m not in the mood to go prowling for Halloween goodies. It’s summer. Couldn’t they wait till September?! (rant over)
The ghostly ship captain! Eeek!
ROFLMAO!!! I was nervous to publish this because I remember last year you commented about having waited to shop for Halloween but then everything was gone. And it was like September maybe? Or early October? But you weren’t in the mood for shopping before when everything was out because it was too early. I wish I could remember what post it was to remind myself. But I had that in mind so I even waited a few days to post this because I was like, “OMG, it’s only the 1st week in June. This seems particularly early. And what will Maria say…?” LOL
If you get either the sea captain or the knight I want to know! I’ll live vicariously through you! lol
He’s quite creepy for sure! lol
It’s just so hard to get into the Halloween spirit when it’s 100 degrees outside. Same thing with Christmas. They won’t stop this unless they get major backlash from the public. Oh well. Last year the Haunted Mansion cemetery night watch guy was actually in our local Lowes, so I’m going to hope they have the new stuff on view too when they set it up, usually in late August (?),. I want to see it in person to see whether it’s worth it. He would look good next to my Vampiress and Witch I got from Grandin Road.
LOL! Agreed. It’s hard for me to think period when it’s hot out. Especially when it’s hot and humid out. Maybe that’s why I don’t mind the Halloween stuff so much. It reminds me of cooler weather that will be here soon. (Or, relatively soon. It’s never fast enough! lol Nor does it ever last long enough…)
I’m glad I didn’t see the caretaker last year. I might not have been able to resist impulse buying that! But all I can think is…you have the vampire and witch from Grandin Road????!!!! OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!! WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!!!!! Oh what a display you must have!!!!!
That nautical stuff is awesomne! We dont get enough underwater horror, even tho things like SOMA and The Abyss are so flawless!
I think 2024 may be the year you see more underwater horror stuff for Halloween, ScreamFan. BTW…what an AWESOME handle!!!
The Disney Store website has made new Haunted Mansion merchandise available this week, including a doll of the ballerina from the stretching art. And I’ve started spotting Halloween stuff at Marshalls.
Ooooh! This is SO exciting! Thanks for sharing! Another friend said JoAnne’s has stuff out now too. And something about how July 5 is the official date when Halloween starts because July 4th is over and the last major holiday that retailers sell stuff for before Halloween.
And I believe Lowe’s has unveiled some new stuff too. I haven’t gotten the low down (no pun intended) on that though. And I haven’t had time to go snoop for myself. lol
So I’m ridiculously happy when you take the time to share your knowledge like this! THANK YOU again, Maria!!!
