What do you get when you combine a missing ghost-hunting influencer with a murdered beekeeper? A second season of Unlicensed, the critically acclaimed and highly rated Audible Original from Welcome to Night Vale co-creators Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor. (The overall average customer rating is 4.8 out of 5.0.)

In season 2, listeners rejoin Molly C. Quinn and Lusia Strus, who reprise their roles as unlicensed private detectives Molly Hatch and Lou Rosen. Per the podcast’s description, the duo works “in the far reaches of Los Angeles County, where the glamor of Hollywood fades into the long empty of the desert.”

This time, however, their investigation takes on a paranormal twist. Let’s discover what it’s about before we discuss how to listen.

Unlicensed Season 2 Description

From the dusty citrus groves of Redlands to the wealthy enclaves of Monterey, Lou Rosen (Strus) and Molly Hatch (Quinn) are about to face a case that is larger and more complicated than any they’ve faced before.

A ghost-hunting influencer disappears in the middle of a live stream. A beekeeper is murdered after telling his friends that he has come across a dangerous secret.

It is up to Lou and Molly to put together the pieces, as the powerful elite of California try to stop them. Even if they solve the case, can they come out the other side unscathed?

More Unlicensed Buzz

A little bird (or maybe it was a bee?) shared that there will be an Unlicensed season 3. No exact release date was specified, but it will drop sometime in 2025.
