Love is in the scare—uh, air! Okay, sure. Valentine’s Day is most commonly associated with sweethearts, red roses, chocolates, etc. But it’s continually expanding.
Take Galentine’s Day, for example. Ever since the popular Parks and Recreation episode of the same name, women have embraced celebrating their female friendships on February 13. So why can’t those of us with dark hearts—or who are at least spooky at heart—have Ghoulentine’s Day? (Whether it’s on February 13 or 14. Celebrator’s choice.)
We’re not alone in our love for the macabre. The proof is on Amazon. I squealed with delight when a recent browsing spree turned up some fiendishly fun ghoulish Valentine’s Day finds.
It all started when I checked if they still sold horror-themed Valentine’s Day cards. Yes! But you know how they also show “Customers Also Bought” and “Related Products” items? Well, that led down a rabbit hole to other creepy-cute cards, eerie apparel, and deviously dark décor that inspired me to create a new “Eternal Love” section in the Skareporium.

Ghoulish Greeting Card Valentine Finds
Since horror Valentine’s Day cards are what started all this, it seems a fitting place to begin. I was curious if Amazon still had ones inspired by popular horror movie slashers like Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees. Yep. Freddy and Ghostface, too.
And what about a funny Camp Crystal Lake-inspired Valentine’s pop-up card I’d seen before? Was it there? Yep.

Well, this one isn’t very ghoulish. It’s more Casper-cute, crochet-style. A ghost hug. To show your love, offer support, or just show your care in general. We could all use as much of that as we can get, can’t we?
