Today I listened to Terence Guardino’s June 2011 video forecast for Virgos. His very first sentences piqued my interest and flashed me back to my prognostications this past April:
“Well, this is going to be a very volatile month, but more for world events, weather patterns, because there are three eclipses in a row. Which is pretty unusual. There’s a solar eclipse in Gemini, not really affecting your sign directly, on June the 1st. But it is a new moon, and I’ll get back to that. On the 15th of June there’s a full moon lunar eclipse in Sagittarius. And on July the 1st there is another solar eclipse in cancer.”
The rest of the forecast explained how the stars and planets are all lining up to make this one of the best summer’s Virgos have had in a long time. However, these three eclipses might overshadow (pun completely intended) a few things and cause some stress before all is said and done, too. (Not just for Virgos, but for all of the signs in general.)
A trip over to AstroStar.com Blog verified Guardino’s warnings: three eclipses in a row spell lots of change, potential trouble, and each will get progressively worse.
Gulp!
Why am I concerned? April and the celestial influences at play during the month aligned with the second deadliest tornado outbreak in U.S. history. (Or has it now been upgraded to the deadliest?) It happened the year before, too. (See: “April, Saturn, & Mercury Retrograde: Something Wicked This Way Comes.” Keep in mind the BP Oil Spill.)
So, yeah, when an astrological red flag is waved I pay attention.
My advice? Be prepared for change this summer. (Which can be good.) But also be prepared for some drama, as it often accompanies change.
If you’re traveling in unfamiliar territory, pay attention to your surroundings and heed your instincts. Expect the unexpected. Have backup and contingency plans in place.
On the upside, another theme that I kept coming across as I researched the three eclipses and their affects: If you’re someone who thrives under pressure and shines when the heat’s turned up, these eclipses might feed you some good energy to work with.
If you’d like to see how the eclipses are forecast to affect your sign, I recommend Astrology.com’s “How the Summer Eclipses Will Affect You.”
Courtney Mroch is a globe-trotting restless spirit who’s both possessed by wanderlust and the spirit of adventure, and obsessed with true crime, horror, the paranormal, and weird days. Perhaps it has something to do with her genes? She is related to occult royalty, after all. Marie Laveau, the famous Voodoo practitioner of New Orleans, is one of her ancestors. (Yes, really! As explained here.) That could also explain her infatuation with skeletons.
Speaking of mystical, to learn how Courtney channeled her battle with cancer to conjure up this site, check out HJ’s Origin Story.
Weird that astrology is so often considered less valid than other predictive and diagnostic mechanisms like, say, weather bureau forecasts and the Myers-Briggs personality test that are SOOO accurate!!
Glad you enjoyed my public toilet post – thanx for dropping by!
THANK YOU, Red! You wrote so perfectly how I feel but have never been able to express so succinctly about astrology.
Oh, and your public toilet post was phenomenal. Growing up my family dubbed me the Potty Inspector. I have always had a fascination with them and when I was little, wherever I went I’d HAVE to go see the facilities. Weird, I know. But your post was perfect so I shared it everywhere I could. (meaning Twitter, FB, StumbleUpon…) 😉
Great post….mine is all about money. I like that. I mean who does not like money? 😀 Thanks for sharing.
Cheers!
Lucky duck! Money is good. Glad to hear your forecast included that. WOOT!
